Lenovo's sub-brand ZUK has unveiled its latest smartphone called the ZUK Z2 in China. The new phone is a slightly downgraded edition of the ZUK Z2 Pro flagship. The phone sports a durable metal frame, and gets a U-Touch 2.0 fingerprint sensor integrated into the home button, which can supposedly unlock the device in just 0.1 seconds.

The ZUK Z2 sports a 5-inch full HD LPTS 2.5D curved display, and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with ZUI 2.0 on top.

The phone is powered by a 2.15GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, coupled with an Adreno 530 GPU and 4 gigs of RAM.

It comes with 64 gigs storage. For imaging, the phone gets a 13MP rear snapper with an LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, 5P lens, an ISOCELL sensor, phase detection autofocus, CAF dual-mode focus and EIS.

At the front, there's an 8-megapixel selfie snapper with a 78.9-degree wide viewing angle lens. In terms of connectivity, the phone offers 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, a USB Type-C port, and GPS.

A 3,500mAh battery keeps it running. There's support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 that helps top up the battery up to 80 percent levels in just an hour. The ZUK Z2 has been priced at 1,799 Yuan, around Rs 18,370.

The phone comes in black and white colour options, and will go on sale in China starting June 7th. The brand has also launched a USB Type-C wireless charger for the handset, which can charge it via a charging cover.

The wireless charger with cover has been priced at 299 Yuan, approx. Rs 3,050.
