Xiaomi Redmi 4 Gets Certified in China, Hints at an Imminent Launch

After being spotted in leaked photos a week ago Xiaomi Redmi 4 has been certified in China. The Redmi line-up has been Xiaomi’s bestselling line up with the company having sold 110 million Xiaomi Redmi devices in totality. The Redmi 4 is expected to be launched on August 28th and the internet has already been set ablaze with the leaks.

The Redmi 4 surfaced on TENAA which is kind of an official green flag for the release. It also further corroborates with the rumor that the Redmi 4 will be released on 28th of August. The listing sheds light on the specifications of the Redmi 4 including, the 5-inch FHD display, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Powering the device is a Snapdragon 625 64-bit processor clocked at 1.8GHz.
On the imaging front, the Redmi 4 is listed to tout a 13-Megapixel primary sensor along with a 5-Megapixel secondary sensor, pretty basic stuff. Xiaomi Redmi 4 will run on Android 6.0.1 wrapped in the latest MIUI 8. Furthermore, the listing also says that the device will only available in Gold color option but this is something that might change once the device is actually launched. Also, the device will retain the three capacitive buttons found in the previous iterations.

With right pricing and product positioning, it is quite possible that the device might sell well, like its predecessors. It is very likely that more details of the Redmi 4 will surface as we near the launch, stay tuned.
