Coolpad Note 5 Launched With 5.5-inch Display & 4GB RAM at Rs 10,999

China’s Coolpad has launched its latest Android phablet dubbed the Note 5 in India. The phone comes as a successor to the Coolpad Note 3, Note 3 Lite and Note 3 Plus. The Coolpad Note 5 flaunts a full metal unibody design, and sports a fingerprint sensor at the back, which the brand claims can unlock the phone in 0.5 seconds. The fingerprint sensor can also be configured to make, receive and record calls, open apps, and take photos. It is the cheapest smartphone with 4GB of RAM in India. Its worth mentioning that the last year’s Coolpad Note 3 was launched in India as the most affordable phone with 3GB of RAM.

The Coolpad Note 5 sports a 5.5-inch full HD. It is powered by an octa-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor, coupled with beefy 4GB of RAM and Adreno 405 graphics. The phone comes with 32GB of internal memory, which can be further increased up to 64GB via a microSD card. The device also supports USB OTG (on the go) functionality. In terms of connectivity, it offers 4G with VoLTE support, hybrid dual-SIM slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and A-GPS.

For imaging, the Note 5 gets a 13-megapixel primary snapper with a dual-LED flash. In the front, it houses an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies with a single LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, 80.1-degree field of view, and Smart Beautification. The phone is fuelled by a beefy 4,010mAh battery, which as per the brand delivers 14 hours of talk time and 350 hours standby time. It also supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge technology to fuel up the battery faster.

Software-wise, the Note 5 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Cool UI 8.0 on top. Similar to the Coolpad Max, it also comes with Dual Space system, which lets you have two accounts of WhatsApp, Facebook, and other apps on the same device. There’s also a Multi Screen feature on board, which lets you run two apps simultaneously on the same screen.

The Coolpad Note 5 has been priced at Rs 10,999, and is being offered in champagne gold and noble grey hues. The phone will be available exclusively on Amazon India starting from October 20th, and Coolpad also has plans to launch it offline soon.
