TechNews - New LYF Smartphone With 5.2" Display & 3 GB RAM



A new device from LYF has been spotted on the GFXBench benchmarking website. This unannounced device with model name LYF LS-5201 is an inclusion to the LYF which is a part of Reliance Industries Limited and also expected to come with Reliance Jio preview offer. LYF has been releasing reasonable devices and from the past few months it has been building a good name and has been competing against some bigger and reputed brands in the smartphone segment.




The device is going to come with a 5.2-inch Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) capacitive touch screen display. It will be powered by a 1.8 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and Adreno GPU.


The LS-5201 sports a 16 MP AF camera on the rear with LED flash and it is accompanied with a 5 MP shooter on the front for video calling and selfies. It also includes features like Face detection, HDR photos and touch focus.


Out of the box, the handset will come with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system and might also get further updates in the future. The onboard memory is at 32 GB out of which 24 GB us user accessible and the rest is occupied y system OS and other pre-installed applications. The battery information is not mentioned in the benchmarks, and we can expect this device to be unveiled soon.


Nothing about the pricing is known for now, but we can expect the device to be priced at Rs. 10,000 looking at its specifications. Earlier LYF has released many devices and few recent onces are Water 7, Flame 8, Wind 7 and Earth 2.
