As Google says they were developing Android 8.0 Oreo for more than a year and now the beta version has been out for months of developer user testing. The Google’s blog post said, “We’re pushing the sources to Android Open Source Project (AOSP) for everyone to access today.” It adds that Pixel, Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P builds have entered carrier testing and they will start rolling out in phases over the next few weeks. Pixel C and Nexus Player will also get the build.
Whoever has Android O beta on their Nexus and Pixel smartphones have got the final version of the software today only.

How to install Android Oreo For Pixel And Nexus

The latest system images for Pixel and Nexus can be downloaded and then install it to your phone. Given below are the instructions from Google on how to flash a system image.


To flash a system image:

1. Download the proper system image for your device then unzip it to the safe directory.
2. Connect your phone to the computer.
3. Start the device in fast boot mode
4. If it is necessary, unlock the device’s bootloader.

For now, Android 8.0 Oreo is available as a Developer Preview but the final version will come soon and it will be beyond Pixel and Nexus devices.

The  Android Developer blog post says “Autofill will roll out fully over the next few weeks as part of an update to Google Play Services.”
Google Android 8.0 Oreo has improved battery life and faster performance. Google is declaring 2X boot speed with the new OS. Android 8.0 Oreo has the new limits on background location and wifi scans to improve the capacity of the battery. It also has the new fonts and diverse emojis. 
There’s also “Adaptive icons” for developers, and the system “animates interactions with the icons, and uses them in the launcher, shortcuts, settings, etc.”
