Jio GigaFiber rollout: Expected price, when you may get it and everything else you need to know

Reliance Jio in July announced its debut in the broadband market by launching its optical fiber-based Jio GigaFiber broadband service. While the registrations for the broadband is live for quite some time now, the service is yet to rollout commercially.
The registration for the Jio GigaFiber can be done via two ways- MyJio app or Jio.com and it is free of cost. Jio at its 42nd Annual General Meeting announced that the broadband connection aims to deliver wall-to-wall FTTH service for phones, televisions, computers and other devices.
The GigaFiber is the wired internet service from Jio with a top speed of up to 1 gigabyte. The service will compete against companies like Airtel, BSNL, MTNL, ACT Fibernet, Spectra, Hathway and similar more. The optical-based broadband service aims to connect 50 million homes in India and will roll out in 1100 cities.
The beta trials for the service is already running in several cities like Mumbai and Pune. The company at the launch event had said that the area with the highest number of registrations will be given the preference first. The locality that records highest number of registrations will be the first to receive the service.
