LG Stylus 2 Plus smartphone launched - 5.7" FHD display, 3000 mAh battery

LG has announced the new edition of the stylus-series smartphone on Wednesday in Taiwan called as Stylus 2 Plus. It is the successor of the LG Stylus 2 smartphone was launched back in February 2016. The device will come with upgraded hardware specifications to its original Stylus 2 smartphone such as display and processor. The Stylus 2 Plus smartphone features the nano-coated stylus pen which will help to write a message on the screen which was first seen on the Samsung Galaxy Note smartphones. When Stylus Pen is removing or away from the screen, it will display the warning with the help of UX features such as Quick Memo, Off Memo, and Pen Keeper.

Juno Cho, president of LG Electronics and Mobile Communications Company, said that " The LG Stylus 2 Plus offers users a spacious screen, powerful multimedia functionality and a writing experience at a competitive price. It's just another example of the constant refinements we're making to our mobile products to give LG customers a wide variety of features and designs to choose from. "

Talking about the specifications front, It sports a 5.7-inch FHD display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution while Stylus 2 smartphone has same screen size but it has 720p resolution. Under the hood, it comes powered by Octa-core processor clocks at 1.4 GHz while in the original device came with Quad-core 1.2 GHz processor. The device runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE / HSPA+ / GSM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a,b.g, n , Bluetooth 4.1, Micro USB 2.0, FM Radio, A-GPS and 3.5 mm audio Jack. The device has a two storage options such as a 16 GB storage with 2GB RAM and a 32 GB ROM with 3 GB RAM variant which will further expandable via microSD card slot. It features a fingerprint sensor for unlocking the screen.

As per as cameras are concerned, it bears a 13-megapixel (16-megapixel, if selected markets) primary camera with LED flash which can record videos upto 1080p at 30 frames per second. Up front, it has a 5-megapixel (8-megapixel camera, if selected markets) front snapper for explicit photos and video in Low-light conditions. It comes packed with 3000 mAh battery.

The design of the smartphone comes with textured plastic back and measures 155 x 79.6 x 7.4 mm of dimensions and weight around 145 grams. It will be available in Titan, Gold and Brown color options. The handset will cost a price around $340, and shipments start from today onwards in Taiwan. It will also be available in Asia, South America, Europe and North America in the coming weeks.
