Xiaomi has launched its second-generation wearable Mi-Band 2 in China. The wearable is aimed towards heath conscious smartwatch hunters who are looking for a device to track their fitness.
The Mi Band 2 features a 0.42-inch OLED display screen, a heart rate sensor and Bluetooth wireless connectivity to pair with smartphones. It also sports a 70mAh battery with 20 days of standby time.
The Mi Band 2 is 40.3mm x 15.7mm x 10.5mm in dimension, weighs just 7grams and is priced at CNY 149 (approximately Rs 1,500). The device has been designed using skin-friendly thermoplastic elastomers material and is water resistant.
The Mi Band 2 will be compatible with smartphones running on Androind 4.4 and above as well as iOS 7.0 and above. The device will be available in black, blue, green and orange colours.
Xiaomi has announced that the Mi Band 2 will go on sale starting June 7, 2016 in China. However, the company has not revealed its availability details in the Indian market.
