Huawei's sub-brand Honor launched its first dual camera smartphone in China way back in December 2014. Later in 2015, the Honor 6 Plus along with Honor 4X were launched in India. This might also be the first dual camera smartphone from a major smartphone manufacturer. Now in 2016, Huawei launched the latest flagships Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus smartphones. Both the devices came with dual camera setup which was developed in partnership with Leica. Apple also launched the iPhone 7 pluse with dual 12MP camera on the rear, and the iPhone 7 is limited to single 12MP sensor.
As of now, there is no information about the specification of the device; it is mentioned to support dual SIM dual standby with 4G LTE support. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with the EMUI laid on top. The device comes with a metal body and sports fingerprint sensor on the back. This might be the successor to Honor 5X that was launched in India at Rs. 12,999. At the time of launch, it is most affordable Honor smartphone to sport all metal body and also fingerprint sensor.
It sports 5.5-inch Full HD display and is powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor. The device comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card slot. On the camera front, it includes a 13MP rear camera with an aperture of f/2.0 & LED flash. For selfies, there is a 5MP front camera with f/2.4 aperture & wide-angle lens.
