Nokia 9 PureView with 5-lens camera to be launched in India soon

HMD Global is reportedly gearing up to launch the Nokia 9 PureView smartphone
 in India by the end of April. While there is no official word from HMD Global yet, rumours have it that company will host a press event in India by the end of April where the Nokia 9 PureView would be announced. HMD Global has priced the smartphone at $699 (around Rs 48,700 in India).

There is no official confirmation from HMD Global as far as the pricing is concerned but it is expected to be the most expensive Nokia smartphone. A previous report also suggested that the Nokia 9 is expected to come at a starting price of 4,799 Yuan which translates into Rs 50,700 in India.

The cameras of the Nokia 9 PureView are said to be powered by Carl Zeiss lens. There are five 12MP sensors at the back of the Nokia 9 PureView. Out of these two sensors are full-colour whereas three are monochrome for better black-and-white photography. HMD Global has deployed a technology called Light’s Lux Capacitor camera control chip. This will help in running of all the five cameras at the same time smoothly.

With three monochrome lenses, Nokia is aiming to give users a better experience when it comes to black and white photography. On the Nokia 9 PureView, the depth map on Nokia 9 clicked images is 12 megapixels. In addition to this it offers 1,200 layers of depth data. It is also one of the few phones that allows shooting and editing RAW DNG images.

Apart from the camera capabilities, the Nokia 9 PureView is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The Nokia 9 PureView offers a 5.99-inch 2K pOLED display and has a 3,320mAh battery and comes with fast-charging support. It also supports wireless charging.
